Why I Believe…

“I believe in ‘Community’ and helping one another out. In my childhood, my father was a 30-year career Marine and after his retirement he became a Minister and took me on the streets with him to meet people from different cultures and lifestyles. I was 15 years old then and I fell in love with serving others. I spent a few of my teen years teaching less fortunate people how to read, write and/or fill out job applications because so many wanted to work, but were illiterate and just needed a boost of confidence.

I believe that everyone has good in them and even through a rough childhood the deepest desire is to become someone important. Even if only one person recognizes that they have the ability and desire to change or make their life sufficient and sustainable, then all their insecurity from their past can go out the door
